Winthrop Professor Ian Dadour is the Director of the Centre and a Registered Forensic Practitioner. He is the State's Honorary Forensic Entomologist at the PathCentre and the only accredited Forensic Entomologist in Australia. He is used extensively by the Police Services of WA and other States to provide entomological evidence on post mortem interval.

Assistant Professor Daniel Franklin is the Director of Studies at the Centre and is a physical anthropologist with a background in archaeology. His primary research involves using both traditional and geometric morphometric tools to improve the identification of human remains and to examine ways in which these methods can improve facial recognition based on the form of the facial skeleton. He currently works collaboratively with the FME Research Unit, Hull York Medical School. Dan co-ordinates the Forensic Anthropology and Forensic Archaeology units.

Winthrop Professor John Watling is a Registered Analytical Chemist with over 25 years experience in Forensic Science. He has developed a number of innovative accessories for use with a wide variety of instrumental analytical techniques and has pioneered research into the use of special distribution patterns (Fingerprinting) to establish provenance of forensic evidence. He is an expert witness in Spectrometric and Spectroscopic analysis and in data interpretation as applied to crime scene evidence.

Assistant Professor Silvana Gaudieri is a lecturer with UWA and and an Adjunct Senior Lecturer with the Centre for Clinical Immunology and Biomedical Statistics. Her main areas of research include characterisation of the Major Histocompatibility Complex in human haplotypes and other primates and pathogen host-viral interactions. She is also involved with developing new tools for mass screening and tracking HIV infection.

Dr Shane Burke is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer with the Centre. He uses his experience as an archaeologist to teach field survey techniques and data collection procedures applicable to forensic cases.

Associate Professor Guan Tay holds an Adjunct position at the Centre. His research interest focuses on the application of DNA and antibody-based tools in Forensic Science and biotechnology. He has established collaborative links with the biotechnology sector to specifically develop practical uses for these technologies.

Dr Mark Reynolds holds an Adjunct position at the Centre. He is a Forensic Science Consultant with the WA Police, providing technical advice and support in relation to scientific matters, in addition to maintaining and fostering relationships with universities, scientific bodies and the judiciary. Mark served with the WA Police for over 21 years, most recently as the Case File Supervisor (Homicide) for the WA Police Forensic Division. In that position he had an administrative and technical supervisory role for homicides committed state-wide. Mark holds a PhD in Bloodstain Pattern Analysis (BPA) and is one of only two people from the Southern hemisphere to sit on the FBI's International Scientific Working Group. In 2000, he served with the UN's War Crimes Unit in East Timor and has provided forensic case work support to the SA Police, NSW Police, Queensland Police, Republic of Singapore and Sultanate of Brunei.

Associate Professor Gavin Turbett has been the Principal Scientist of the PathWest Forensic Biology laboratory since 1999. He holds the position of Adjunct Associate Professor at UWA where he lectures to undergraduate and postgraduate classes. He also lectures regularly to the WA Police, the DPP and to the Judiciary. Gavin is the author or co-author of 32 scientific papers and is a NATA Technical Assessor for Forensic Biology. He is one of the two WA representatives to SMANZFL (Senior Managers of Australia and New Zealand Forensic Laboratories) and is also an Executive member of SMANZFL. He is the mentor to the Biology Specialist Advisory Group (BSAG). He is an expert witness in Forensic Biology and DNA profiling and has presented expert evidence in the Supreme, District, Magistrates and Children's Courts.

Dr Jenny Ball is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer with the Centre. She has been in private dental practice for over 20 years and has also completed her Master of Forensic Science at UWA. Jenny occassionally assists the State's Forensic Odontologist with identifications.

Emeritus Professor Charles Oxnard has honorary appointments in the School of Anatomy and Human Biology at UWA and in the Universities of York and Hull in the UK. He is involved in collaborations in forensic research through two Australian Research Council grants.

Dr David Cook is the research officer responsible for assisting students and maintaining the Entomological colonies.

Ms Alexandra Knight is the Administrator for the Centre. She deals with all aspects of student matters, including local and international enquiries, and assists the Director with the day to day running of the Centre. Alex is your first point of contact when visiting Forensics.
