Specific Entry Requirements
All students enrolled in Forensic Science are expected to comply with the specific requirements as set out below, as part of the application process. It is the students responsibility to pay for the procedures. The specific requirements are:
Tetanus -
All students are required to be immunised against tetanus and are required to show proof of immunisation by way of immunisation records or a doctors letter. Tetanus immunisation is part of the childhood immunisation schedule; adults require boosters every 10 years. If a tetanus prone wound occurs, and the recipient has not had a tetanus booster within the last 5 years, then a booster should be given.
Police Clearance -
All students are required to provide a current (no more than 12 months old) National Police Clearance. International students are required to provide clearance from their country of residence. Persons deemed as unsuitable for acceptance into the Forensic Science Programme, will be informed of the decision in writing. A National Police Clearance certificate can be obtained from your local police station.
