Application Procedures
ALL International Students MUST apply to the INTERNATIONAL OFFICE at UWA to study at this University.
You may want to contact an Overseas Representative for an application package. Representatives are familiar with all steps of the application process, and their services are usually free of charge.
Alternatively, you may apply by downloading an application form from the International Centre's web page http://www.international.uwa.edu.au/
If you are interested in the MForSc, MForSc/PhD, or the PhD programmes, go to http://www.acs.uwa.edu.au/research/ for further information on application procedures.
Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded for degrees undertaken by research only.
Applications for the International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS) are taken each year from May to August to commence studies in the following year. The University offers 12 scholarships each year, awarded on a purely academic basis.
The contact details for the Scholarship Office are schools@acs.uwa.edu.au http://www.research.uwa.edu.au/schols/grad/iprs.html
Alternative sources of scholarships:
International students may apply for an Australian Government Scholarship (AusAID) which is available in selected developing countries. Please check with the Australian Diplomatic Mission in your home country for details.
If you are unable to obtain a scholarship, it is essential to remember that you must have private funds to support your studies. A student visa for Australia will be granted only upon confirmation of your ability to fund your studies.
